1. Energy Booster – The glucose contained in honey is quickly absorbed by the body  resulting in a boost in energy. On the other hand, fructose is absorbed more slowly providing sustained energy. It has been stated that honey causes blood sugar levels to remain fairly constant when compared with other types of sugars.
  2. Inflammatory Properties – It has been found that honey works as an anti-inflammatory by reducing the concentrations of prostaglandin in plasma. Hence, reducing inflammation.
  3. Prebiotic – Honey improves the growth of human intestinal bifidobacteria. Therefore, increasing the production of lactic and acetic acids.
